Light in a Box, Shepherd is our new entry level, pre configured, and programmed lighting system for small to medium churches, theaters, and entertainment venues. We take the guess work out of lighting.
We save you money by equipping you to do it yourself, with help from a professional.

A: No, because every church is different the hanging method will be as well. Our team will consult with you to help you figure out what you need. We will have clamp packages available for purchase separately if needed.
Q: Will I need special power requirements?
A: Yes and no… Every church is different and an electrician will need to be consulted. You will need for front wash 2 15 amp circuit, Back wash 1 15 amp circuit, and up lighting 1 15 amp circuit. All of the plugs are standard Edison. How you get those circuits is up to you and a licensed electrician.
Q: Do I need dimmers?
A: No, each light has built in dimming. They need constant power DO NOT attach them to a dimmer as it may damage the lights.
Q:There is a lot of lights. Do I need all of them?
A: Yes and No… The system is designed for a stage of approximately 15X30. The lights are capable of a bigger stage as well as a smaller one. The lights are designed so you have standard 3 point lighting for video. We designed it to be versatile as well giving you lights for drama or set design.
Q: Do I need to hire someone to install them for me?
A: Yes and no… It depends on your congregation. The lights can be hung by a General carpenter or a electrician. If one of them is in the church, you are set. We give instructions on how to focus the lights. We will install it for you for extra cost. However, we feel this well in the abilities of the local church to install on their own.
Q: What about training?
A: There is several ways to receive training. We can do a Zoom call, You can find YouTube videos, you can come to our training classes, Or we can come out for training for a fee. The lighting board is popular and well used board so there is a ton of how to videos on it’s operation.
Q: How do I know what plugs up to what?
A: Each system will come with a wiring diagram. Each light will be labeled to match the diagram. Essentially a road map. As long as you can plug a mic cable you can plug in the lights.
Q: How do I know if the cables will be long enough?
A: We include enough cable to connect all the lights and stand almost 500’ we are confident that you will have plenty of extra cable.
